On May 12, 2026, a delegation from the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province, People’s Republic of China, visited Thailand to participate in INTERMACH 2026 and hold discussions with Thai government agencies and private sector representatives regarding economic cooperation, trade expansion, investment opportunities, and business networking between Thailand and China.
The delegation was led by Ms. Deng Qian, Director of the Hubei Trade Development Center; Mr. Hu Yonghua, Party Secretary and Director of the Xiantao Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Mr. Deng Biao, Executive of Zhongke Fanyu (Wuhan) Technology Co., Ltd.; and Ms. Gong Jingying, Director of Overseas Exhibition Department, Hubei Provincial Foreign Affairs Service Co., Ltd.
During the meeting, the Chinese delegation introduced Hubei Province’s strengths in logistics, infrastructure, and technology development, including Ezhou Huahu Airport, Yangluo Port, AI technologies, and key industries such as electric vehicles (EV), machinery, electronics, and smart manufacturing.
The delegation also invited Thai businesses to participate in national trade exhibitions in Hubei Province and emphasized opportunities for bilateral cooperation under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) framework to strengthen regional trade connectivity.
Both sides agreed on a Win-Win cooperation strategy focused on two key objectives: supporting Chinese enterprises in expanding into overseas markets, particularly across Asia, and creating opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to enter and invest in the Chinese market.
Ms. Lallana Thakingrassamee, Assistant Director of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP), welcomed the delegation and highlighted that OSMEP is prepared to support Thai entrepreneurs in participating in trade fairs and business activities in China as an initial step toward future investment cooperation.
In addition, Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion emphasized its strong relationship with the Asian-International Trade and Investment Association (AITIA), expressing confidence that future collaboration between both organizations would help connect Thai entrepreneurs to international industrial, technology, and agricultural exhibitions in Hubei Province.
This meeting marked another important milestone in strengthening Thailand–China economic cooperation while enhancing business networking, trade connectivity, and sustainable regional investment development.
