
On May 14, 2026, the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) welcomed a delegation from the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province, People’s Republic of China, led by Ms. Deng Qian, Director of the Trade Development Service Center of Hubei Province, together with senior representatives, for discussions on strengthening investment cooperation between Thailand and China.
Ms. Aphawadee Mangmee, Senior Professional Investment Promotion Officer and representative of the Board of Investment of Thailand, formally received the delegation and presented information regarding BOI’s role, investment promotion policies, and facilitation measures for foreign investors, particularly Chinese enterprises that continue expanding investment activities in Thailand.

The BOI highlighted various tax and non-tax incentives available to foreign investors, along with support measures designed to enhance investor confidence and encourage Chinese companies to expand manufacturing and business operations in Thailand, especially within targeted and future-oriented industries.
During the meeting, Ms. Deng Qian also introduced the economic and industrial strengths of Hubei Province, emphasizing its strategic location as a major logistics, transportation, and industrial hub in Central China.
In addition, the Hubei delegation expressed its commitment to strengthening future trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and China, while formally inviting BOI executives and staff to visit Hubei Province for further study visits and institutional exchange activities aimed at enhancing bilateral relations.
The Asian-International Trade and Investment Association remains committed to supporting and monitoring the progress of this cooperation in order to promote sustainable regional economic, trade, and investment development between Thailand and China.
