
Bangkok – 22 January 2026 – Mr. Montri Pongpan, Honorary President of the Asian-International Trade and Investment Association, welcomed Ms. Lu Huijuan and a delegation from the Task Force on Future Energy Industry–Education Integration, under the China Energy Research Society (CERS), during their visit to Thailand to engage in proactive discussions on investment cooperation and workforce development for the new energy industry.

On this occasion, Mr. Montri Pongpan led the delegation to meet with the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) to discuss investment promotion policies, tax incentives, and support measures for foreign investors. The discussions emphasized Thailand’s strong potential to serve as a key manufacturing base for solar energy and energy storage/battery systems.

Strengthening Educational Collaboration to Elevate Global Workforce Standards
In addition to investment discussions, the delegation also held meetings with the Private Institution Association of Thailand (PISA), led by Mr. Manit Boonprasert, together with Dr. Nuwong Cholkup, Deputy Director of the Office of the National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sappasit Limnarrat. The meetings aimed to lay the foundation for industry–education integration aligned with the needs of the energy sector, focusing on specialized fields such as:
- Photovoltaic (PV) Power Plant Operation and Maintenance
- Battery Technology and Energy Storage Systems
- Electrical Engineering and Smart Energy Management

Mr. Montri Pongpan, Honorary President of the Association, stated:

The visit of the Chinese task force represents a starting point for comprehensive integration across both investment attraction and knowledge transfer, strengthening Thailand’s new energy industry and enhancing its competitiveness on the global stage.
