On October 28, 2024, Mr. Montri Pongpan, President of the Asian – International Trade and Investment Association (AITIA), led a delegation to meet with Mr. Shen Yumo (沈裕谋), Director-General of the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, People’s Republic of China. The meeting focused on exploring cooperation opportunities for activities organized by the association in 2025.
During the discussions, both parties exchanged views on promoting trade, investment, and expanding economic collaboration between Thailand and Hunan Province. A key focus of the meeting was the Thailand E-commerce Selection’s Expo 2025, scheduled to take place in September next year in Bangkok.
AITIA aims to position this expo as a crucial platform for connecting Chinese manufacturers with Thai entrepreneurs, particularly those interested in importing products from China through e-commerce platforms. The Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce expressed strong interest and support for the participation of Hunan-based enterprises, showcasing innovative products and new technologies to the Thai market.
Furthermore, both parties explored opportunities for broader collaboration, including organizing business delegations from Hunan to Thailand, exchanging market insights, and implementing training programs for entrepreneurs.
AITIA is committed to advancing these cooperative efforts into tangible actions, strengthening economic relations between Thailand and China.
