On February 4, 2025, representatives of the Asian – International Trade and Investment Association met with M.R. Nongkran Chomphunut, President of the Digital Council for Economy and Society of Thailand, to present a Chinese New Year gift and extend best wishes for the occasion. The meeting also served as an opportunity to discuss potential cooperation between the two organizations.
During the discussions, both parties explored the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the near future to strengthen collaboration in two key areas: trade and education, aiming to enhance business capabilities and workforce development.
In terms of trade, both organizations exchanged views on connecting Thai and Chinese entrepreneurs, particularly in the digital and e-commerce industries, which play a vital role in the modern economy. Discussions also included ways to support Thai SMEs and startups in accessing the Chinese market more efficiently through digital platforms and upcoming collaborative projects.
On the education front, both parties emphasized the importance of digital and technology-related workforce development. They discussed initiatives such as training programs, knowledge exchanges, and academic support to equip Thai professionals with the necessary skills for the future job market.
This collaboration between the Asian – International Tade and Investment Association and the Digital Council marks a significant step in driving sustainable digital economic growth.
