
Recently, a delegation from the Asian International Trade and Investment Association (AITIA) paid an official visit to Wuhan and received a warm welcome from the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Commerce. Mr. Ma Zhonghui, Deputy Director of the Bureau, along with senior officials and department heads, attended the meeting to engage in highly productive discussions with the delegation.

During the meeting, Deputy Director Ma Zhonghui emphasized Thailand’s strategic importance as a vital gateway for Wuhan’s expansion into the Southeast Asian market. He noted that through frequent mutual visits and exchanges in recent years, both parties have established a solid foundation of cooperation and deep friendship. The Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Commerce remains committed to leveraging this partnership to further deepen comprehensive collaboration with the Thai business community, elevating bilateral trade and economic ties to a higher and broader level.

A key highlight of the discussion was Wuhan’s keen interest in the series of exhibitions promoted by AITIA, particularly the “Intermach 2026” Mr. Ma stated that a dedicated task force will be formed to evaluate participation strategies. The Bureau aims to include this expo in Hubei Province’s key overseas exhibition plan for 2026, striving to organize a delegation of representative Wuhan enterprises to showcase the strength and prowess of “Wuhan Manufacturing” on the international stage.
The meeting concluded in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. Both parties reached a consensus to establish a normalized communication mechanism to collaborate more closely in industrial matching, market expansion, and information sharing, aiming to create more business opportunities for enterprises in both regions.
