On June 24, 2025, a delegation from the Asian International Trade and Investment Association met with Mr. Liu Xuegui, Deputy Director-General of the Anhui Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, to discuss strengthening agricultural cooperation between Thailand and China. The two sides exchanged views on agricultural innovation, agro-processing, raising production standards, and building trade networks between agricultural businesses in both countries, aiming to deepen collaboration in technology exchange, agricultural investment, business matching, and market expansion.
During the meeting, the association officially invited the Anhui Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to participate in Farm Expo 2025, to be held in Thailand. Mr. Liu positively responded and confirmed support, stating that Anhui will organize a delegation of agricultural enterprises, institutions, and investors to attend the expo, fostering comprehensive cooperation in the agricultural sector.
Additionally, the two sides discussed the “Thai Influencers Visit China” project, which plans to bring Thai influencers and young entrepreneurs to visit agricultural factories, industrial cities, and tourist attractions in China this July, promoting a positive image of Chinese agriculture and strengthening multi-dimensional collaboration in trade, tourism, and agriculture. The Chinese side welcomed this initiative and expressed readiness to coordinate closely to implement the project successfully.
This meeting laid a solid foundation for deeper agricultural cooperation between the two countries, with both parties agreeing to maintain continuous dialogue and jointly develop projects and activities that benefit farmers, businesses, and the agricultural economy of both nations.
