On November 8, 2024, the Asian – International Trade and Investment Association, led by Mr. Montri Pongpan, President of the Association, and Mr. Wu Zhiyi, Honorary President, paid a visit to the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Shanghai). The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Zhou Minhao, President of CCPIT Shanghai.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and China. The association introduced and discussed the Thailand E-commerce Selection’s Expo 2025, which is scheduled to take place from September 18-20, 2025, at Exhibition Halls 9-10, IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani, Thailand. The association also extended an invitation to CCPIT Shanghai and Shanghai-based entrepreneurs to participate in the event.
Additionally, both sides discussed opportunities for enhancing collaboration between Thai and Chinese businesses across various sectors, as well as the upcoming 50th anniversary of Thailand-China diplomatic relations in 2025, which marks a significant milestone in the bilateral relationship.
This meeting represents another important step for the association in expanding international cooperation and fostering business opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs in the Chinese market.
