
Bangkok – 22 January 2026 – The Asian-International Trade and Investment Association continues to advance its mission of promoting cross-border trade and investment by leading a delegation from the China Energy Research Society (CERS) to hold discussions with the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). The visit aimed to explore investment opportunities and incentives in the renewable energy sector, reinforcing confidence in Thailand’s potential as a regional hub for new energy industries.

The meeting was led by Ms. Lu Huijuan, representative of the China Energy Research Society, who headed a group of investors and energy experts in discussions with BOI executives. The key objectives of the meeting were to:
- Seek policy guidance: Gain insights into Thailand’s latest investment promotion policies and strategic direction.
- Explore incentives in depth: Discuss details of tax incentives and non-tax support measures available to foreign investors.
- Build cooperative networks: Foster business linkages between Chinese enterprises and Thai government agencies.

Focus on Industries of the Future: Clean Energy
The discussions centered on new energy investment, a major global megatrend. The Chinese delegation expressed strong interest in the following priority sectors:
- Solar Energy: Establishing manufacturing bases for solar panels and related components.
- Energy Storage Systems / Batteries: Battery technologies to support electric vehicles (EVs) and high-stability power systems.

The visit by the China Energy Research Society underscores the confidence and potential of Thailand, which is well-equipped with robust infrastructure, a comprehensive supply chain, and supportive government policies to accommodate the expansion of clean energy manufacturing bases from abroad.
