Thai Fresh Durian Exports to China Surpass THB 100 Billion in the First Half of 2026

Thailand has achieved a new milestone in its agricultural exports, with fresh durian shipments to China exceeding THB 100.079 billion during the first half of 2026. Export volume reached more than 872,000 metric tons, marking the first time that half-year export value has surpassed the THB 100 billion threshold.
The achievement highlights the continued confidence of Chinese consumers in Thai agricultural products, particularly premium-quality fresh durian, which remains Thailand’s most valuable fruit export to China.
According to Thailand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the success stems from stricter quality control measures implemented throughout the supply chain. Authorities have enforced the “Four No” policy, ensuring that exported durians are free from immature fruit, pests, fraudulent origin claims, and prohibited chemical residues.
These measures have strengthened market confidence, streamlined customs inspections, and improved Thailand’s competitiveness in China’s premium fruit market.
Beyond fresh fruit, demand for processed fruit products, beverages, dried fruit, and value-added agricultural products continues to expand across China. This presents significant opportunities for Thai exporters through Cross-Border E-Commerce platforms and digital trade channels.
As competition intensifies, Thai businesses are encouraged to focus on quality assurance, branding, product innovation, and compliance with international standards to sustain long-term growth in the Chinese market.
The latest export record demonstrates not only the strength of Thailand’s agricultural sector but also the growing economic partnership between Thailand and China.
