[Bangkok – November 28, 2025] – The Asian-International Trade and Investment Association was honored by the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) to participate in the “Thailand Dianping Summit 2025.” Held on November 27 at the Napalai Ballroom, Dusit Thani Bangkok, this landmark event served as a major platform for Thai-Chinese cooperation in food and tourism, aiming to elevate Thai businesses and connect them to global digital platforms.
Participating in this summit reinforces the Association’s mission to seek new trade opportunities for entrepreneurs and members. The event was organized with the objective of bridging Thailand’s potential in food, tourism, and culture with “Meituan-Dianping,” China’s number one lifestyle and review platform. With over 680 million daily active users, the platform represents a strategic channel for penetrating the modern Chinese consumer market.
The event was presided over by Mr. Nares Thamrongthiphayakhun, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, who delivered a keynote speech on “Elevating Thai Raw Material and Food Product Standards for Quality, Safety, and International Recognition.” The Deputy Minister emphasized the government’s policy to propel Thailand towards becoming a global agriculture and food hub. Key strategies include building confidence through traceability systems and expanding GAP and organic standards to cover key economic fruits such as durian, mangosteen, and aromatic coconut, thereby meeting the demands of Chinese consumers who prioritize quality and safety.
Representatives from the Asian-International Trade and Investment Association exchanged views with public and private sector leaders during the summit. The Association recognizes that collaboration with the “Dianping” platform is key to empowering Thai SMEs and the agricultural sector. This partnership will enable precise targeting of Chinese tourists and food enthusiasts, aligning with the growing trend of agrotourism.
Additionally, the event featured the presentation of the “Tai Hao Wan” awards—a mark of guarantee for high-quality tourist destinations in Thailand—to selected entrepreneurs, further building confidence among Chinese tourists.
The Association is ready to leverage the knowledge and networks gained from the Thailand Dianping Summit 2025 to support members and Thai entrepreneurs. By utilizing digital channels and elevating product standards in line with the foundations laid by OSMEP and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Association aims to foster readiness for the Chinese market and drive sustainable economic stability.
