
Bangkok, April 22, 2026 – Ms. Wanida Bamrungkit, Secretary-General of the Asian-International Trade and Investment Association (AITIA), represented the association at the seminar and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony titled “Thai Business Opportunities in the AI Era.” Organized by the Digital Council of Thailand (DCT), the event served as a platform to exchange visions and prepare the Thai business sector to keep pace with the global advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

The event featured two main insightful sessions:
- Seminar on “AI for Business and Digital Industry”: Focused on updating the national direction by presenting the national AI policy roadmap, AI Governance trends, and in-depth discussions on workforce strategies. The goal is to drive the Thai industrial sector to be technologically advanced and globally competitive.
- Seminar on “AI for Enhancing Quality of Life and Society”: Explored the use of technology for social impact through real-world use cases. Topics included leveraging AI to elevate public safety systems, developing infrastructure for Smart Cities, and applying technology to care for vulnerable groups, paving the way for a truly sustainable society.

Beyond the intensive discussions, a major highlight of the event was the MOU signing ceremony between the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the Digital Council of Thailand (DCT), and the Asian-International Trade and Investment Association (AITIA). This synergy among the three key organizations aims to integrate cooperation in developing the digital workforce, promoting Thai AI innovations, and building a robust business ecosystem to elevate the potential of Thai technology and entrepreneurs to become leaders on the international stage.
