Shijiazhuang, People’s Republic of China – March 23, 2026: At 1:30 PM (Beijing Time), Ms. Chamaiporn Chuecharoen, President of the Asian-International Trade and Investment Association (AITIA), led a delegation of entrepreneurs and fruit suppliers from Thailand and Malaysia to visit and participate in a business matching event at the Hebei International Agricultural Products Wholesale Center. The visit aimed to promote and expand trade opportunities between the ASEAN region and Hebei Province.

During this visit, the AITIA delegation received a warm welcome from Mr. Zhou Xiangyang, Director of the Foreign Relations Division, Hebei Department of Commerce, and Mr. Zhang Yimin, Vice President of the Hebei International Economic Cooperation and Investment Association. The hosts guided the delegation on a market tour and presented an overview of the center’s immense potential.

The Largest Agricultural Hub in Shijiazhuang
The Shijiazhuang International Agricultural Products Wholesale Center is the largest wholesale center in the city, featuring the following key highlights:
- Massive Scale: Covers an expansive area of more than 2,000 mu.
- High Trade Value: Generates an annual sales volume of 30 billion RMB.
- Distribution Hub: Serves as a gathering point for all types of agricultural products, especially vegetables and fruits, for nationwide distribution across China. It also acts as a central hub for import and export, with Southeast Asian countries as its vital trading partners.

Opening the Business Matching Stage
Following the tour, Mr. Zhou Xiangyang and Ms. Chamaiporn Jueajaroen jointly delivered opening remarks for the business matching session, emphasizing the core objective of driving the exchange of high-quality agricultural products. This event provided a valuable platform for fruit suppliers from Thailand and Malaysia to meet and negotiate directly with major fruit distributors within the wholesale center.
During the business introduction session, a representative of Shijiazhuang fruit distributors expressed strong interest, stating, “We regularly import products from Southeast Asia, but today’s business matching event has shown us the opportunity to expand our market to new products. Rather than just importing popular fruits like durians and mangosteens, we now see a great opportunity to introduce other varieties of tropical fruits into the Chinese market.”
The atmosphere at the event was highly engaging, with representatives from all sectors actively exchanging business insights and taking commemorative group photos. The success of this event marks a significant step in concretely “opening the door for agricultural trade,” further strengthening sustainable economic growth between ASEAN countries and Hebei Province.
